Identity and contact information

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Country or region
  • Other information reasonably required to complete an order or provide customer service

Account information

If you create a customer account, we may process information for the account features you use, including account identifier, login information, saved addresses, account preferences, order history, wishlist information, saved product preferences, and account communication preferences. Passwords are protected using appropriate security measures and are not intended to be accessible to MARIELCO staff in readable plain-text form.

Order and transaction information

We may collect information relating to products ordered, product variations, quantity, order number, order date, order value, discounts, promotional codes, shipping method, shipping charges, order status, payment status, returns, exchanges, refunds, and warranty claims.

Payment information

Payments may be processed through authorized third-party payment service providers. Depending on the payment method, those providers may process payment card information, billing details, digital-wallet information, payment authorization information, and transaction identifiers.

MARIELCO does not normally receive or store complete payment-card numbers where payment information is entered directly into a third-party payment provider's secure payment system. We may receive limited payment-related information such as payment status, payment method type, transaction reference, fraud or risk indicators, and partial card information where provided by the payment processor.

Customer care information

When you contact MARIELCO, we may process messages, emails, customer service requests, return requests, refund requests, warranty requests, photographs you provide, product issue information, order information, complaint records, and communication history.

Technical and usage information

We may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, device identifiers, language, approximate location derived from IP address, referring website, website logs, date and time of access, and security and diagnostic information.

We may also collect information about how visitors interact with MARIELCO, including pages visited, products viewed, searches performed, links clicked, shopping-cart activity, checkout activity, time spent on pages, referral source, website navigation, and conversion activity.

Marketing and advertising information

Where applicable, we may process marketing subscription status, marketing consent, email campaign interactions, advertising identifiers, cookie identifiers, advertising attribution information, campaign interaction data, and preference information.

How we collect it

Directly from you — when you create an account, place an order, complete checkout, subscribe to marketing, contact Customer Care, request a return or refund, submit a warranty claim, send photographs or documents, or submit a product review.

Automatically — through cookies, server logs, analytics technologies, security technologies, fraud-prevention technologies, and similar tracking technologies.

From service providers — involved in payment processing, fraud prevention, order fulfillment, international shipping, last-mile delivery, analytics, advertising, website security, and customer communications. For example, a payment provider may tell us whether a payment was successful, and a shipping provider may provide tracking or delivery status information.

How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Process orders and verify payments
  • Fulfill purchases and arrange shipping
  • Provide order tracking
  • Process returns, refunds and exchanges
  • Manage warranty claims
  • Provide customer support and operate customer accounts
  • Communicate about orders
  • Prevent fraud and detect unauthorized transactions
  • Protect website security
  • Improve our website, products and services
  • Analyze website performance and measure marketing performance
  • Provide permitted advertising and personalize experiences where permitted
  • Maintain accounting and tax records
  • Resolve disputes and enforce our Terms & Conditions
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Protect MARIELCO, our customers, and others from unlawful activity

Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, MARIELCO may rely on one or more of the following:

Contract — where necessary to accept orders, take payment, deliver products, process returns, provide customer service, and fulfill our contractual obligations.

Legal obligations — where required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, law enforcement requests, and other legal obligations.

Legitimate interests — for legitimate business purposes such as website security, fraud detection, service improvement, business analytics, customer support, and protecting legal rights. We consider the impact on individuals when relying on legitimate interests.

Consent — for activities such as certain marketing communications, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, personalized advertising, and other non-essential tracking technologies. You may withdraw consent where applicable.

Orders, Shipping & Customs

To fulfill an order, we may share necessary information with fulfillment and logistics providers. This may include recipient name, delivery address, telephone number, email address where required, order details, customs information, and tracking information.

MARIELCO orders are currently dispatched from Guangzhou, China. Personal information required to complete international shipment may therefore be processed in China and other jurisdictions through which a shipment passes. Only information reasonably necessary for fulfillment and delivery is provided to logistics partners. See our Shipping & Delivery Policy for further detail.

Customs and international delivery

International shipments may require information to be provided to customs authorities, import authorities, shipping carriers, postal operators, last-mile delivery providers, and other logistics providers. Where required by applicable law or customs procedures, additional information may be requested from the recipient.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information where legally required to complete delivery.

Payments & Fraud Prevention

MARIELCO may use third-party payment providers to securely process transactions. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy and security practices.

Depending on the payment method selected, personal information may be shared with payment providers for payment authorization, transaction processing, fraud prevention, chargeback management, refund processing, and regulatory compliance. MARIELCO does not intentionally collect complete payment-card information where that information is securely handled directly by an authorized payment provider.

Fraud prevention and security

MARIELCO and our service providers may use information to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions, stolen payment methods, account takeover, unauthorized activity, promotion abuse, return fraud, security attacks, and other unlawful activity.

Automated fraud-detection or risk-scoring tools may be used by payment providers, security providers, or MARIELCO where appropriate. An order may be subject to additional verification when unusual or potentially fraudulent activity is detected.

Cookies & Tracking

MARIELCO uses cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the website. Cookies may fall into the following categories:

MARIELCO may also use other advertising or social-media platforms, such as Meta or similar providers. The actual technologies used may change over time.

Your cookie choices

Where available, you can manage non-essential cookies using MARIELCO's Cookie Settings. Depending on your jurisdiction, non-essential analytics or advertising technologies may not be activated until the required consent has been obtained.

You may also control certain cookies through your browser. Disabling some technologies may affect website functionality or personalization. Further information is available in our Cookie Policy.

Marketing & Communications

Where permitted, customers may choose to receive marketing communications from MARIELCO. Marketing messages may include product launches, new collections, promotions, offers, and brand updates.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link provided in applicable communications or by contact MARIELCO Customer Care. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent MARIELCO from sending necessary transactional or service-related communications.

Transactional communications

We may send communications necessary to provide services you have requested. These may include order confirmations, payment notifications, shipping confirmations, tracking updates, return information, refund confirmations, warranty communications, security notifications, and important account information.

These communications are not treated as optional promotional marketing where they are necessary to perform a transaction or provide a requested service.

  • Payment providers — for payment processing, refunds, fraud prevention, and chargebacks.

  • Professional advisers — such as lawyers, accountants, auditors, and insurance advisers where reasonably necessary.
  • Government and regulatory authorities — where disclosure is required by law or legal process, or necessary to protect legal rights or prevent fraud or unlawful conduct.

If MARIELCO or its operating business is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or business transfer, relevant personal information may be disclosed as part of the transaction, subject to applicable law.

Sale, sharing and targeted advertising

MARIELCO does not sell personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary payment. However, certain privacy laws define terms such as "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" more broadly and may treat some disclosures involving advertising or tracking technologies as falling within those definitions.

Where applicable law provides a right to opt out, MARIELCO will provide an applicable method for exercising that right. This may include our Cookie Settings or another privacy-choice mechanism where required.

International data transfers

MARIELCO operates an international e-commerce business. Personal information may therefore be processed in countries or regions other than the place where you live. Depending on the service involved, this may include processing in the United States, China, countries through which international shipments pass, and countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy laws may differ between jurisdictions. Where required by applicable law, MARIELCO uses appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

Retention & Security

MARIELCO retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate legal or business requirements.

Retention periods may depend on the type of information, nature of the transaction, warranty period, return or refund status, tax requirements, accounting requirements, fraud-prevention requirements, legal claims, dispute resolution, and applicable law.

Order and transaction records may be retained as necessary for accounting, taxation, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. Customer service records may be retained for a reasonable period after an inquiry has been resolved. Marketing information may be retained until consent is withdrawn, the individual opts out, or the information is no longer reasonably required.

Data security

MARIELCO uses reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, loss, misuse, alteration, and destruction. Our website uses secure HTTPS connections where applicable. We also rely on security measures provided by relevant hosting, payment, infrastructure, and service providers.

However, no electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Account security

Customers are responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential. Please do not share your password with others. If you believe your MARIELCO account has been compromised, contact MARIELCO Customer Care promptly.

We may take reasonable security measures including password reset, session termination, account verification, and temporary account restrictions where appropriate.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information. These may include the right to:

  • Request access to personal information
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Object to certain processing
  • Request data portability

  • Opt out of targeted advertising
  • Opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information
  • Request information about categories of data disclosed
  • Appeal certain denied privacy requests

These rights are subject to applicable legal limitations and exceptions.

How to exercise your rights

To submit a privacy request, contact [email protected]. Please clearly describe the privacy right you wish to exercise. We will not request more information than reasonably necessary for verification.

Authorized agents

Where permitted by applicable law, you may authorize another person to submit certain privacy requests on your behalf. We may require reasonable evidence confirming the agent's identity, the agent's authorization, and your identity.

Verification

Protecting personal information also means preventing unauthorized people from obtaining or deleting someone else's information. For certain requests, we may verify information such as email address, account information, order information, or other information reasonably necessary to confirm identity. Verification requirements may vary according to the sensitivity of the information and the nature of the request.

Non-discrimination

Where applicable privacy law provides such a right, MARIELCO will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual solely because that individual exercises a valid privacy right. This does not prevent MARIELCO from offering legitimate programs, promotions, or services where permitted by applicable law.

Regional Rights

United States state privacy rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state law. Depending on the law and whether applicable statutory thresholds are met, these rights may include access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of targeted advertising, opt-out of certain sale or sharing, opt-out of certain profiling, and appeal rights.

MARIELCO will honor applicable state privacy rights where required by law. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to represent that every state privacy law applies to MARIELCO regardless of statutory applicability thresholds.

California

Where applicable, California residents may have rights relating to their personal information under California privacy law. These may include rights concerning access, correction, deletion, categories of personal information collected, categories of disclosures, sale or sharing, cross-context behavioral advertising, and non-discrimination.

MARIELCO does not sell personal information in exchange for monetary payment. Where applicable law treats certain advertising disclosures as "sharing" or otherwise provides an opt-out right, appropriate privacy choices will be made available where required.

European Economic Area and United Kingdom

Where applicable to individuals in the EEA or United Kingdom, privacy rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a competent supervisory authority.

If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete or appropriately handle that information.

If customers submit reviews, photographs, videos, comments, or other public content, certain information may become publicly visible depending on the website feature. Please avoid including sensitive or unnecessary personal information in publicly submitted content.

Information provided privately to Customer Care regarding a return, complaint, or warranty claim will not automatically be treated as public review content.

MARIELCO does not seek to collect sensitive personal information unless reasonably necessary for a legitimate purpose or required by law. Where sensitive information must be processed, we will handle it according to applicable legal requirements.

Automated processing

MARIELCO or our service providers may use automated tools for purposes such as fraud detection, payment-risk assessment, website security, spam prevention, advertising measurement, and analytics. Where applicable law gives individuals specific rights concerning automated decision-making or profiling, MARIELCO will comply with those requirements where they apply.
